Ukraine's agricultural exports in 2024 reach pre-war levels
In 2024, Ukraine's agricultural exports returned to pre-war levels, reaching $24.5 billion, accounting for 59% of the country's total exports
This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitalii Koval.
Last year, Ukraine exported 78.3 million tons of agricultural products. The leading export was sunflower oil, with nearly 6 million tons worth $5.1 billion.
Corn ranked second, making up 21% of exports, with 29.6 million tons worth $5 billion. Wheat came in third, with 20.6 million tons exported, valued at $3.7 billion.
"Other top exports included rapeseed (7%, 3.8 million tons worth $1.8 billion), soybeans (5%, 3.4 million tons worth $1.3 billion), and oilseed cake and residues (4%, 4.7 million tons worth $1 billion)," the ministry stated.
Meat and edible poultry products accounted for 4%, with 447,000 tons exported, totaling $958 million.
Ukraine also exported barley (3.3 million tons worth $557 million) and sugar (746,000 tons worth $418 million), each making up 2%.
- According to the Ministry of Economy, Ukraine's exports in monetary terms increased by at least 13.4% in 2024. As of December 26, the country exported 129.2 million tons of goods worth $41.043 billion.
