Russia goes quiet after heavy infantry, equipment losses near Kupyansk — Ukraine’s 14th Brigade
Major Nadiia Zamryha, communications officer for Ukraine's 14th Brigade, says the brigade has successfully repelled two Russian assaults in the Kupyansk direction
She shared the information on Espreso TV.
“The [Ukrainian] fighters performed exceptionally well on the front line on New Year's Eve. Over the past few days, we successfully repelled two assaults by Russian invaders advancing on our positions with armored vehicles. Both convoys, which included tanks, armored personnel carriers, and infantry fighting vehicles, were completely destroyed,” emphasized Zamryha.
According to the head of the communications department of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade, a good deal of Russian infantry were also eliminated, including those attempting to hide in forested areas. This success is attributed to the efficient and coordinated efforts of all brigade personnel, with seamless cooperation across all units — from the brigade commander to the soldier in the trench with a rifle.
“For some time now, the enemy in our brigade's area of responsibility has been quiet. There haven’t been as many assaults as there were before these columns,” Zamryha noted.
- Since the start of January 1, 101 combat clashes have been reported at the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian forces are focusing their attacks on the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Vremivka, and Kursk sectors.
