Ukrainian Armed Forces establish control over the village of Yatskivka and positions near Bakhmut in Donetsk region
Ukrainian soldiers liberate Yatskivka in Donetsk region and regain control over positions near Bakhmut.
Oleksiy Gromov, the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"During the assault operations, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces established control over the settlement of Yatskivka. Our troops are improving their tactical position. Thus, thanks to the right regrouping of the units of one of the mechanized divisions and the high-quality organization of the battle, Ukrainian troops managed to restore the previously lost position and ensure control of the positions in the south of Bakhmut," Gromov said.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the situation in the east is the most difficult, but controlled. Russians continue to shell our settlements and the positions of Ukrainian soldiers.
Additional information: the village of Yatskivka is located across the Oskil river from the neighboring Kharkiv region.
