Ukraine’s 47th Brigade, alongside other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, successfully repelled a large-scale assault by Russian forces in the Kursk region
The Brigade shared the information on Telegram.
Russian forces initially advanced with tanks equipped with trawls to clear the passages, followed by six waves of attacks involving tanks, armored personnel carriers, and buggies. In total, about 50 pieces of Russian equipment were sent into the assault, the brigade reports.
However, the 47th Magura Brigade, operating in concert with its allies, held firm and decisively pushed back Russian forces. Russia suffered significant losses, including 45 soldiers killed and 53 wounded.
Ukrainian forces destroyed numerous Russian assets, including tanks, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, buggies, and Lancet drones. The total value of Russia’s destroyed equipment is estimated in the tens of millions of dollars.
The coordinated response of Ukrainian forces not only repelled the assault but inflicted heavy damage on Russian military resources.
