RMF FM reporter that during a meeting on Saturday near Washington at the CPAC conference, Polish President Andrzej Duda told U.S. President Donald Trump that Ukraine cannot survive the war without American support. Duda emphasized that the primary issue is how to end the war, as Russia’s victory would be unacceptable.
In a subsequent interview with TV Republika, Duda stated that, given Russia’s actions and President Putin’s disregard for the lives of Russian soldiers, the war must somehow be concluded. He underscored that for a lasting peace, the war should end with a just settlement, ensuring Russia does not threaten any other nations in the future.
The meeting between Trump and Duda comes at a time when European leaders are working to bridge the growing divide between Washington and Kyiv over how best to address the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
