
Record drone attack: Russians launch 267 drones over Ukraine – 138 shot down
On the night of February 23, Russia launched a massive attack with ballistic missiles, 267 Shahed attack drones, and various types of simulator drones over Ukrainian regions
Colonel Yuriy Ihnat of the Ukrainian Air Force, reported this on Facebook.
Ihnat noted that this was the highest number of drones used in a single attack since February 24, 2022.
Of the 267 drones, 138 were shot down, 119 “lost in location,” three flew into Russia, and one into Belarus.
The Russians launched the drones from several directions, including Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda.
The Russians also fired three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from temporarily occupied Crimea.
As of 08:00, confirmed drone downings were reported in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
The attack affected the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
