Czech Foreign Minister Lipavský urges the world to remember Russia's role as the aggressor and slams pressure on Ukraine to surrender as "irresponsible"

This was stated by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský on the social media platform X, reports Ukrinform.

"Russia sent 267 drones into Ukraine overnight—the largest attack since the war began. While some try to rewrite history, let’s not forget that Russia initiated this aggression and invaded Ukrainian territory. Pressuring the victim to surrender is shortsighted and irresponsible," the diplomat wrote.

Media outlets reported this week that some U.S. administration officials oppose labeling Russia as an "aggressor" in the G7 statement marking the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

  • The EU is examining legal ways to seize Russia's frozen assets to support Ukraine, amid opposition from member states like Germany and France.
