Newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump stated that preparations are underway for his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin

Reuters reported the information.

According to a source, Donald Trump made the statement before meeting with Republican governors in Florida.

"He [Putin] wants to meet, and we are setting it up," said the future U.S. president.

However, Trump did not disclose the date of the possible meeting.

On Tuesday, January 7, U.S. president-elect Donald Trump said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin seeks to meet with him but ruled out any meeting before the inauguration.
