Mi-24 helicopters donated by North Macedonia spotted in Ukraine
Ukrainian military received assistance from a small Balkan country back in 2023, although this was overlooked for a while
Defense Express analytical website published the photo depicting Ukrainian military pilots. However, one can see a Mi-24 in the backdrop wearing North Macedonian military camouflage.

This suggests that the government of North Macedonia has provided aircraft support to Ukraine. In the spring of 2023, the North Macedonian government announced the transfer of ten Mi-24Bs and two Mi-24Ks (an artillery correction variant).
Notably, in 2023, North Macedonia had just two Mi-24Bs actively in service, with an additional four kept in storage. The remaining six helicopters had been mothballed for years and served solely as "spare parts donors."
Based on this, it can be inferred that two of North Macedonia's operational combat vehicles were deployed immediately, while several others were likely restored using existing components. The remaining units appear to have been dismantled for spare parts/
