Ukrainian exports entered 16 new markets in 2024
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Food and Consumer Service of Ukraine opened access to 16 new foreign markets for Ukrainian exporters in 2024
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Food and Consumer Service of Ukraine opened access to 16 new foreign markets for Ukrainian exporters in 2024, according to the MFA of Ukraine.
Last year, Ukrainian producers gained access to foreign markets for 16 product groups across nine countries, including:
- Poultry flour, feathers, fish meal, oils, and fats to Israel;
- Honey to China;
- Marine and freshwater animals (fish, mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, including farm-raised ones) and their products to Kuwait;
- Poultry meat and its products to the Kingdom of Bahrain;
- Mechanically deboned poultry meat to Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- Egg products to Canada;
- Canned pet food, chew items for pets, and meat products for human consumption to Albania;
- Equids registered for breeding and utility purposes, semi-finished poultry meat, composite and meat products to Moldova;
- Veterinary health certificates for accompanying reptiles to Israel;
- Meat products to North Macedonia.
"We are currently working with more than 60 countries to enable Ukrainian producers to export plant- and animal-based products," said Serhiy Tkachuk, head of the State Food and Consumer Service.
The MFA added that they continue to work with international partners to expand the export of various goods, including poultry products, live large and small cattle, beef and pork, milk and dairy products, honey, apples, blueberries, cherries, peas and beans, onions, wheat flour, fish and fish products, and reproductive materials.
- Throughout 2024, Ukraine exported goods worth nearly $25 billion to EU countries, 6% more than in 2023.
