Professor of Manhattan University Igor Aizenberg doubts that U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Putin will be able to reach any agreements

He expressed this opinion on the air of Espreso TV.

"Trump-Putin—I don't think anything will happen. It will be the same as Trump-Kim Jong Un. They may, of course, meet, but I have serious doubts that they will be able to agree on anything at all. It will be just like Trump-Kim Jong Un," he noted.

Igor Aizenberg also pointed out that during his meeting with Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron conducted himself with great dignity and advised Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to do the same.

"If I were to advise President Zelenskyy, I would suggest watching yesterday's press conference between President Macron and President Trump—the press conference itself—and also their responses to journalists' questions before the meeting. I would advise President Zelenskyy to behave as President Macron did in order to defend Ukraine's interests while avoiding sensitive topics that might irritate Trump. President Macron demonstrated this very clearly yesterday—so clearly that Trump was forced to interrupt the press conference at one point because it had essentially become a showcase for President Macron, who conducted himself with dignity and took a strong position. President Trump looked very weak in comparison. I wish President Zelenskyy success in doing the same," the professor advised.

  • On February 24, during negotiations at the White House, French President Emmanuel Macron interrupted his American counterpart, Donald Trump, to correct his statement about Europe’s financial assistance to Ukraine.
  • During the February 24 meeting with Trump, Macron urged him to avoid a trade war with Europe and instead focus on China.
