Ukraine reports 98 clashes at front on Feb. 25, repels 16 Russian attacks in Kursk region

On Tuesday, February 25, 98 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Ukrainian troops repelled 25 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk sector and 16 in the Kursk region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 08:00 a.m.

Yesterday the Russians launched 92 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, in particular, dropped 128 guided bombs. In addition, Russian forces used 3,439 'kamikaze' drones and fired 5,672 times, including 108 times from multiple launch rocket systems

17 settlements were hit by Russian airstrikes.

The aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 17 Russian manpower and weapons concentration areas, two command posts, an artillery system, an ammunition depot, and two electronic warfare/radar systems of the Russian invaders.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled six Russian assaults near Vovchansk and Dvorichna.

In the Kupiansk sector, five Russian attacks took place over the past 24 hours. The Defense Forces repelled assaults near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched nine attacks, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses near Nadiya, Novolyubivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and Yampolivka.

In the Siversk sector, the Russians carried out seven attacks near Bilohorivka, Ivano-Dariivka, and Verkhnokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders attacked once near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops launched seven attacks near Toretsk and Krymske.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 Russian assaults near Promin, Tarasivka, Kotlyne, Pishchane, Nadiivka, Preobrazhenka, and Andriivka.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces repelled 11 Russian attacks. Russian occupiers attempted to advance near Kostiantynopil, Novoocheretuvate, and Burlatske.

In the Orikhiv sector, five Russian attempts to advance near Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske, and in the direction of Novoandriivka were repelled by Ukrainian forces.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russians unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian positions once.

In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions over the past day.

The operation in the Kursk region is ongoing. Over the past day, Russian invaders carried out 16 airstrikes, dropped 26 guided bombs, and fired 469 times. Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 Russian assaults.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

  • On February 24, a total of 69 combat engagements were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front, with the most intense fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions.
