Ukraine will maintain maximum army size under any circumstances – Zelenskyy

He made this statement during a briefing on February 26.

"We don't believe the Russians when they say they want peace. And because of this, based on our belief in our army, this will be one of the main guarantees of security, I will preserve the maximum number of troops in any case. The number of troops needed by Ukraine to protect its interests," Zelenskyy emphasized.

• Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed the idea that a united European army could be built on the basis of peacekeeping forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
