Consequences of the attack on Kyiv and the region
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klychko reported at 22:54 that air defense systems were active on the city's left bank. According to him, Russian drones were approaching the capital from both the north and south.
By around 23:00, Klitschko confirmed that air defense was also engaged over central Kyiv. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration also reported air defense activity.
In the morning, Kyiv authorities announced that during firefighting efforts at a two-story private house in Kryukivshchyna, a victim's body was discovered. Later, the death toll rose to two. Rescuers managed to extinguish the fire, which covered an area of 200 square meters.
In another settlement of the Bucha district, a 20-year-old woman with a head wound was hospitalized in a local hospital. A man born in 1981 sustained an injury to his right hand. Both victims received medical assistance.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the Russian attack in the Bucha district, five private houses were damaged, windows of apartments in four multi-story residential buildings were broken, two garage buildings were hit, three cars were destroyed, and eight others were damaged.
Strike on Kharkiv
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov informed at 00:20 about at least three strikes on the city.
"According to preliminary information, the attacks targeted the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts. As of now, information regarding casualties and damages is being clarified," he noted.
Closer to 1 AM, it was reported that another drone strike hit a multi-story building in the Kyivskyi district, leaving two injured.
The Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office reported that, according to preliminary information, Kharkiv was attacked by Shahed drones.
In the Kyivskyi district, two strikes occurred, including one on the second floor of a nine-story building and damage to a restaurant. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a drone hit the road, damaging the windows of nearby buildings.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), one of the drones hit a nine-story residential building in the Kyivskyi district. A fire broke out on the second floor, spreading across 50 m². SES staff, National Police, medical personnel, and volunteers rescued five residents of the building. Preliminary reports indicate two people were injured.
A total of 35 rescuers and 7 units of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the enemy strike. SES psychologists provided assistance to the affected people. A rapid response bus from the Kharkiv City Council was deployed at the scene to assist the residents of the building.
Attack on energy facility in Dnipropetrovsk region
During the night attack, Russian forces hit a DTEK facility in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to the company's press service.
"Energy workers are making every effort to restore its operation as quickly as possible," the statement said.
