This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He highlighted that exports of Ukrainian goods to Europe keep increasing.
“Sixty percent of everything Ukrainian businesses sell abroad goes to the EU,” the Prime Minister said.
Shmyhal attributed this success largely to the so-called economic visa-free regime, which allows most Ukrainian goods to enter the EU without customs duties, tariffs, or quotas.
The Prime Minister also noted that Ukraine’s minimum trade goal for 2025 is to maintain access to the EU market at levels no worse than in 2024. To achieve this, Ukraine plans to negotiate with European partners to make the “economic visa-free regime” permanent through amendments to the Association Agreement.
- By the end of December 2024, Ukraine had exported 129.2 million tons of goods worth $41.043 billion to the EU.
