Russian Foreign Ministry tells on what conditions it is ready to start negotiations with Ukraine
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin says Moscow is ready to start talks with Ukraine "based on the reality that exists today"
This was reported by Russian media.
"The classics say that any military action ends in negotiations, and we have naturally already said that we will be ready for such negotiations. But only to negotiations without preconditions, negotiations based on the reality that exists, negotiations taking into account the goals that we have publicly announced," Vershinin said.
He also accused Ukraine of withdrawing from the negotiation process, which began in the spring of 2022 in Minsk and Istanbul.
"There have already been negotiations, you remember Minsk, you remember Istanbul. And you remember that they were interrupted by the Ukrainian side, but you know very well that the decision is not made in Kyiv, the decision is made in other capitals, primarily in Washington, Brussels," Vershinin said.
