Russian delivery service will no longer send property that Russian soldiers looted in Ukraine
The Russian delivery service CDEK refused to send parcels with goods if the sender cannot prove ownership of them, for example, by providing a cash receipt from a store
The Russian edition of Meduza writes about this decision of the delivery service, citing an order from the CEO of CDEK.
Through CDEK in Belarus, the Russian military sent property stolen in Ukrainian houses to Russia.
Employees of the company were ordered to "verify the sender's authority to dispose of the goods", i.e. require documents confirming the ownership of the goods. In case of failure to provide such documents, the client will be denied courier services.
The order, according to Meduza, was sent to all divisions of the delivery service. The company's website says that it is represented in more than 67,000 locations in 27 countries around the world. The order came into force on April 5 and will remain in effect "until the issuance of an order to cancel it".
