Russia loses 650 soldiers and over 170 pieces of military equipment – General Staff
Over the past day, 85 combat clashes took place at the front. Ukrainian defenders repelled a series of attacks by invading Russian forces in six directions and eliminated 650 Russian soldiers

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to March 31, 2024, amounted to:

Russian troops attempt attacks in 6 key directions
According to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.
In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 6 attacks near Terny, Donetsk region and Bilohorivk, Luhansk region, where the Russian army, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the Ukrainian defense.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 7 attacks near Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, and Ivanivske in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 24 attacks near 5 settlements, where the Russian troops, supported by air power, tried to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back Russian troops near 4 settlements in the Donetsk region, where the Russian forces tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses 36 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces launched 5 unsuccessful attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Staromayorske in the Donetsk region and northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, Russia does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. They attacked Ukrainian troops' positions 2 times over the last day.
Russia launches attacks on Ukraine using drones, missiles, and aircraft
In total, Russian troops conducted 17 missile strikes and 83 air raids, targeting both Ukrainian troops and civilian areas. They also launched 87 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian positions and populated regions.
During the last day, Russian forces launched another attack using 11 Shahed-type UAVs. Ukraine's air defense systems successfully destroyed 9 UAVs, and further engagements occurred in the morning with various types of cruise missiles. The details of the latest attack are still being verified.
Over the past day, Russian airstrikes hit 19 settlements across Ukraine.
Over 100 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Ukrainian forces hit twelve Russian personnel concentrations
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Defense Forces aircraft have targeted 4 Russian air defense systems and 11 personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentrations.
Ukrainian missile force units have damaged 4 Russian radar stations, 1 control post, 1 personnel concentration, 4 anti-aircraft defenses, and 1 artillery position.
- On the evening of March 30, Russian forces launched Shahed drones and missiles to attack Ukraine. The energy infrastructure of the Odesa region and the agro-industrial facilities of the Kherson region were targeted. Additionally, Russia struck civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv with a guided projectile, injuring one person.
