Russia establishes new foothold on right bank of Oskil River, Kharkiv region
The OSINT project DeepState reports the advance of Russian troops near the settlement of Topoli in the Kharkiv region
DeepState reports this on Telegram.
"Russia has essentially managed to establish another small foothold on the right bank of the Oskil River. The Russian attempts to cross the water barrier in this area have been repeated, starting around mid-January, and reconnaissance of the terrain began at the beginning of last month," the message states.
According to preliminary information, Russia succeeded in the village, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces pushed them back. After a while, the Russian army made another attempt, but in a different location. As a result, after crossing the river, they were able to occupy positions on Mount Milova south of the village of Topoli.
"Russia also tried to create a foothold between Kamianka and Topoli, but without success. They were unable to secure a position and expand their success, so this remains just a warning for future attempts the Russians may make. Stabilization measures are ongoing, and we hope that this area will not grow into another larger foothold, as happened southward near Dvorichna and Novomlynsk," DeepState added.
