Russia realizes inexpediency of its military facilities in Crimea – Ukraine’s southern military command

She said this on Espreso TV. 

"It is very dangerous to talk much about the successful actions of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate. It is better to wait for more information from our intelligence. However, I want to emphasize that the main message that we will be in Crimea until August has been fulfilled. Now it is important to realize that the Russian troops on the Crimean peninsula have realized that the structures they have been building for so long are inexpedient. They have also realized that their air defense system in Crimea is not so reliable, but rather leaky," explained Humeniuk.

The Operational Command South's spokesperson emphasized that the intelligence's  successful operation in Crimea instilled fear among the occupying Russian forces. 

"After a successful special operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate, the Russian forces have not yet formed a public opinion on these events. They are frightened. They are not posting any more emoticons in their chats," she added.

• Explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea on Wednesday, August 23. The attack hit a military facility on Cape Tarkhankut, which destroyed a Russian long- and medium-range S-400 Triumph air defense missile system.

• The head of the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the Ukrainian army is capable of targeting the enemy anywhere in the occupied Crimea.
