The second group of volunteers signs contracts with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, doubling the number of recruits from November 2024

While the leadership of the Ukrainian Legion did not specify the exact number of people this time, they claim that it is twice as many as last time, on November 12, 2024. Among the volunteers are three women.
According to the General Consul of Ukraine in Lublin, Oleh Kuts, after the first contracts were signed, there was a surge in applications to the recruitment center. There are currently about 1,300 applications.
"The geography of those wishing to join the legion has expanded. Now it’s not just Ukrainians from European countries. It is also noteworthy that today we have several women," Kuts told journalists.
A representative of the Ukrainian Legion's command, Petro Horkusha, clarified that the women expressed their desire to serve in the Ukrainian Legion in positions such as medical workers and in communication units.
The volunteers who joined the Ukrainian Defense Forces today are from Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Slovakia, Denmark, and Germany. The youngest is 20 years old, and the oldest is 55, the outlet specifies.
