“Army is a reflection of any society. And what we see in performance of Russian war criminals in occupied territories of Ukraine is a reflection of Russia's mental code. Their actions show us what Russia really is, its culture and worldview. It is cruelty, looting, rape and hate of human life. I really liked post Ukrainian philosopher Volodymyr Yarmolenko, where he wrote that modern Russia is the quintessence of death, ”Basarab said.

The political scientist stressed that Russia should not be compared to Hitler's Germany. Because, Hitler fought against certain ethnic groups, but not for all he predicted death.

"Hitler was fighting against certain ethnic groups, but he didn’t predict  death to everyone. He wanted to destroy someone, and someone had to be slaves and servants of the Third Reich. Russia is worse than Hitler's Germany. After all, Russia carries death as a phenomenon. They are threat human life not only for other countries but also for their own populations. Because  Russians leave their wounded on  battlefield and throw their soldiers like cannon fodder for senseless tasks. " Basarab added
