Russia has not accumulated enough forces for breakthrough on any of directions - British intelligence
The Russian army has failed to accumulate enough forces to break through in any direction, despite continuing to attack Ukrainian soldiers in several areas
This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
The ministry noted that over the past 3 days, Wagner forces have made small progress near Bakhmut, near the village of Krasna Hora. However, Ukrainian defenders are holding the defense line in this area.
"The tactical Russian advance to the south of the town has likely made little progress," British intelligence reports.
It is also noted that Russian troops are continuously trying to advance in the direction of Kreminna - Svatove, Luhansk region. However, these are currently only localized battles, the scale of which is too small to achieve a significant breakthrough.
In addition, Russia is likely seeking to reverse some of the gains Ukrainian forces made in the fall of 2022. According to British intelligence, Russia’ immediate goal is to move west to the Zherebets River.
"Overall, the current operational picture suggests that Russian forces are being given orders to advance in most sectors, but that they have not massed sufficient offensive combat power on any one axis to achieve a decisive effect," the intelligence service said.

On February 14, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russian soldiers were promised cash bonuses for every kilometer of advance on Ukrainian soil, and their units in Luhansk region were obliged to carry a shell casing with a piece of paper with information about themselves in their chest pocket.
