Russia has a huge arsenal of missiles: The Ministry of Defense explained why it is too early to return to Kyiv and the cities liberated from the invaders
Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar urged residents of the capital and cities liberated from Russian invaders not to rush to return home
Malyar stated this during the national telethon, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to her, it is still too early to return to the de-occupied cities and the capital.
"We must not forget that today there is a high risk in the state of the possibility of the use of chemical weapons by the Russian Federation, they are considering such scenarios. And despite the fact that they have already fired more than a thousand missiles in Ukraine, they still have a huge arsenal. Therefore, today they have all the risks. As long as the war is going on, there are risks", Malyar said.
She emphasized that the risk of the resumption of aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in other regions, and not just in the east, is possible.
"We are considering such scenarios. Today, the key task of the Russian troops is the east, but at the same time, a threat is also possible in relation to other regions of Ukraine. Therefore, we should not relax - the war is in its active phase now, we cannot say that activity is subsiding there, that fights are decreasing - they are, they just continue in the east, and depending on how circumstances develop in other regions, it will be clear whether the invader will move further", Malyar said.
