Peskov says West's ‘hybrid war against Russia’ will last long, Ukraine responds
Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman, says that the ‘hybrid war of hostile countries against Russia’ will last for a long time. Ukraine’s presidential office responds that Peskov is wrong
Russian media Interfax reported the information.
Peskov evaded the question of when Russia's war against Ukraine will end.
"These estimates should be made by specialists – the Ministry of Defense," Putin's spokesman said.
At the same time, Peskov said that the "hybrid war of hostile countries against Russia" will last for a long time.
"And if you mean war in a broader context – confrontation with hostile states, unfriendly countries, this hybrid war that has been unleashed against our country, then it will last for a long time. And here we need firmness, loyalty to ourselves, determination, and unity around the president," the spokesman added.
Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, wrote in response that Peskov was wrong.
"Peskov/Lavrov are wrong: the war can be ended diplomatically. If RF immediately withdraws from the occupied land. A reboot must happen in Moscow for that & the negotiator must change. New defeats of the Russian army can help with that. The supply of weapons is being increased," he wrote
