
Ukraine serves 100 senior Russian officers with notices of suspicion since beginning of full-scale invasion
Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine has served 100 senior officers of the Russian army with suspicion notices. 15 of them are charged with two articles

The defendants were notified of suspicion of preparing, unleashing and waging an aggressive war, as well as committing war crimes (Articles 437 and 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Under Article 437 (the crime of aggression), 43 senior officers of the Russian Armed Forces were notified of suspicion. Indictments against 11 of them were sent to court.
Among them are a colonel general who led the military operation to attempt to seize the territories of Chernihiv, Sumy and Kyiv regions and a lieutenant general who ordered the seizure of Mariupol and the storming of Azovstal.
Under Article 438 (war crimes), 72 representatives of the Russian army's top command have been notified of suspicion. Indictments against 40 of them were sent to court. Eight people were convicted - 4 colonels, 3 majors and 1 lieutenant general.
"In the first quarter of 2024, 8 representatives of the Russian military command were notified of suspicion, four of whom were notified of suspicion under two articles. One person has been convicted," law enforcement officials said.
The suspects include a colonel-general who ordered the systematic shelling of the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology, where the Neutron Source nuclear subcritical facility is located. Among those convicted is a major who executed a Ukrainian prisoner of war and abused civilians.
- On February 14, it became known that the Specialised Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Security Service of Ukraine identified five Russian servicemen who gave orders to shell the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology, which houses the Neutron Source nuclear facility and a nuclear material storage facility.
