Austin promises to provide Ukraine with "as many ATACMS as US can" and urges partners to transfer Patriot
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that the United States would provide Ukraine with "as many ATACMS missiles as they can" and called on partners to provide Patriot systems
He said this during the presentation of the 2025 defense budget in the US House of Representatives, RBC-Ukraine reports.
When asked whether the United States plans additional supplies of long-range ATACMS missiles beyond the recently adopted aid package worth over $60 billion, Austin replied that the United States will provide as many opportunities as they can.
In addition, Austin emphasized that there are countries that have Patriot systems. According to him, he has personally spoken with the leaders of several countries in the last two weeks, encouraging them to give up more equipment or provide more equipment to Ukraine.
He also communicates weekly with Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov: "He knows exactly what we are doing, how we are engaging other countries, looking for additional capabilities around the world."
