He said this at a hearing in the U.S. House of Representatives.
He expressed hope that the cluster bombs would be provided to Ukraine as soon as possible.
"We have surpluses that need to be destroyed. I know a way to destroy them, and that is to send them to the people of Ukraine," Wilson said.
Meanwhile, Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin, speaking in the US House of Representatives, commented on the delivery of long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
He said that the United States would provide Ukraine with "as much capability as they can."
For reference: cluster bombs are ammunition or missiles that explode in midair, releasing smaller bombs. The main advantage of these bombs is that they can hit a larger area.
- U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that the United States will provide Ukraine with "as many ATACMS missiles as they can" and also called on partners to provide Patriot systems.
