Оccupiers tortured Ukrainian writer and journalist Yevhen Bal near Mariupol
Journalist, writer, volunteer, member of National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and National Union of Writers of Ukraine Yevhen Bal died from hands of Russian occupiers

It’s known that 78-year-old Bal on March 18 was captured by Russian military at his house - in the seaside Melekin near Mariupol. The reason for detention was allegedly "compromising" photos with Ukrainian military.
"Occupiers turned the house upside down and took owner to the basement. He was released in three days, severely beaten," said Lina Kushch, first secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
On April 2, Ball passed away. His death was the result of torture.
