Lukashenko to get arrest warrant from The Hague if his involvement in abduction of Ukraine’s children is proved – diplomat Ohryzko
If it is proven that the Belarusian dictator Oleksandr Lukashenko directly participated in the abduction of Ukrainian children, the ICC will certainly issue a warrant for his arrest
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko said this on Espreso.
"If it is proven that Lukashenko directly participated in the organization of the kidnapping of Ukrainian children, the ICC will definitely issue a warrant for his arrest. I am a little surprised by the passivity of the International Criminal Court after the warrant for Putin," said Ohryzko.
In his opinion, the Russians will now use all means to intimidate the members of the ISS.
"I heard about 60,000 crimes committed by Russian troops in Ukraine and they are those that fall under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. But for some reason the case did not go any further. In this regard, the conversation should also be translated in relation to the perpetrators. In particular, including Lukashenko and his henchmen, that contribute to these crimes. Our legal part of the front should work more actively with our colleagues in the International Criminal Court and convince them that further steps should be taken. We should not be ashamed to take such steps further, because there are reasons," concluded the ex-minister.
