"Killing democracy": Kniazhytsky called the bill on the transfer of powers to city councils "looting during the war"
Kniazhytsky noted that the bill "7269" means that mayors and heads of communities where there is no hostilities will take over all the most important duties of city councils
"The heads themselves will form the executive committees and decide whom they want to dismiss and appoint. They can dismiss the heads of public utilities, form the budget. In fact, all the powers of the councils are transferred to them and this is where there are no military operations", the people's deputy said on air of Espreso.
Kniazhytsky added that such a bill is an encroachment on democracy in the country and initiatives of this type jeopardize our candidacy for the EU. And if the occupation of the city begins? Everything depends on one person, and if he is a traitor? So what are we going to do?
The people's deputy also added that the European Solidarity faction abstains from voting for this bill.
