"It will only benefit us": Putin believes Russia has lost nothing by starting war in Ukraine
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia lost nothing by starting a war in Ukraine, but only "strengthened its sovereignty".
This is reported by the Russian mass media.
According to Putin, the polarization of the world that occurred after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine will only benefit Russia.
"We have not lost anything. And we will not lose anything. The main asset is the strengthening of our sovereignty. Yes, there is a certain polarization, but, I believe, both in the world and within the country, this is only beneficial. Because everything is unnecessary, harmful and all , which prevents us from moving forward, will be rejected, we will gain momentum, the pace of development, because modern development can only be based on sovereignty. All our steps in this direction are aimed at strengthening sovereignty," Putin said.
He added that Russia has not started anything in terms of hostilities in Ukraine, because they have been going on since 2014.
"I want to emphasize this once again. It is often heard. We have not started anything from the point of view of military operations, but we are only trying to finish it," Putin said.
