Russia’s late-night attack on Ukraine’s Kryvyi Rih kills three civilians, including child
On the night of September 21, Russian forces launched a missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region, killing three people and injuring three others. The city has declared September 23 a day of mourning
The news was confirmed by Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, and Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
“Another terrorist attack by Russians. Cleanup efforts after the missile strike on the city’s residential area are ongoing,” Vilkul said.
Initially, reports indicated two dead and three injured.
It was later confirmed that three people had died: a 12-year-old boy and two women, aged 75 and 79. A 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 31 and 50, were injured and are in moderate condition.
Around 25 private homes, a school, garages, and several cars were also damaged.
Vilkul announced that Kryvyi Rih will hold a day of mourning on Monday, September 23, for the victims of the attack.
