Zelenskyy denies claims of 80,000 dead Ukrainian soldiers: "This is a lie"

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a meeting with journalists on September 20, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“80 thousand? This is a lie. The real figure is much lower than what was published. Significantly,” Zelenskyy said.
On September 17, The Wall Street Journal published an article stating that the number of killed and wounded Ukrainians and Russians involved in the war had allegedly reached about 1 million.
The authors claimed that the number of dead Ukrainian soldiers was around 80,000, while Russian casualties were estimated at 200,000.
- In February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the number of Ukrainian soldiers killed in the 2 years of full-scale war with Russia was 31,000.
- In June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that Russia has much more human resources for war, but Ukraine cares more about saving the lives of its soldiers.
