31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died in this war, the Russians lost 180,000 troops - Zelenskyy
The death toll of Ukrainian soldiers in the 2 years of Russia's full-scale war on the country is estimated at 31,000
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at a press conference following the forum "Ukraine. Year 2024".
"31,000 Ukrainian military personnel have died in this war," Zelensky said.
"Not 300,000, not 150,000, whatever lies Putin and his lying gang are spreading," the president added.
"Each person is a great loss for us," emphasized the Ukrainian president.
At the same time, Zelensky did not disclose the number of Ukrainians wounded.
"I won't say how many wounded, because Russia will know how many people left the battlefield. I just won't talk about it," said Volodymyr Zelensky.
He separately addressed the statistics of Russian losses.
"180,000 Russians have died. Total losses - killed and wounded - up to 500,000," specified Volodymyr Zelensky.
