Full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine: number of injured children increases to more than 823
430 children died, more than 823 were injured as a result of the Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office reported this on Telegram.
"More than 1,253 children fell victims of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of October 29, 2022, the official number of the killed children has not changed and stands at 430. The number of the wounded has increased to more than 823," juvenile prosecutors emphasized.
The information is not final because it is still being clarified in the places of active hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
The biggest number of the affected children is in the Donetsk region - 420, Kharkiv region - 260, Kyiv region - 116, Mykolaiv region - 77, Zaporizhia region - 70, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 64, Kherson region - 58, Dnipropetrovsk region - 31.
On October 28, Russians wounded a 13-year-old girl in Bakhmutske, Donetsk region.
"Due to bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 2,688 educational institutions were damaged and 331 were destroyed," added the Prosecutor General's Office.
