Ukraine's General Staff reports 170 combat clashes at Russian-Ukrainian frontline

Over the past day, October 31, 170 combat clashes were registered on the Russian-Ukrainian frontline

This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff as of 8:00 a.m.

"According to updated information, yesterday Russia launched three missile attacks on Ukrainian unit positions and settlements, using a total of seven missiles, along with 57 airstrikes, deploying 108 KABs, and 1,366 kamikaze drones. Additionally, there were 4,241 attacks, including 160 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)," the statement read.

Over the past day, Ukraine's missile troops and artillery hit one Russian missile troop and artillery unit and nine personnel and equipment concentrations.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russia stormed three times near Vovchansk and Vovchanski Khutory.

In the Kupyansk direction, 15 Russia's attacks took place over the last day. Ukrainian defense forces repelled assaults near 6 settlements

In the Lyman direction, Russia's troops attacked 21 times. They tried to advance near 4 settlements and in the Serebryanka forestry. 

In the Kramatorsk direction, one firefight was registered near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, Russia launched three attacks near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 35 Russian assault and offensive actions near Promin, Lysivka and Vyshneve.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 60 attacks on the Ukrainian troops' positions near 7 settlements. Russian forces were most actively trying to advance near Antonivka and Yelyzavetivka. 

In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops made five assaults on Ukrainian positions near Bohoyavlenka and Trudove. They actively used attack and bomber aircraft.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces launched two attacks toward Novodanylivka but encountered fierce resistance and sustained losses.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian troops stormed the positions of Ukrainian units four times, but were unsuccessful. 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia is actively using artillery and aviation in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements from its territory.

The operation in the Kursk region continues. 

“According to the available information, Russian aviation conducted 21 strikes using 33 anti-aircraft missiles on its territory over the past day,” the General Staff noted.

  • Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,460 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 6 tanks and 26 Russian artillery systems.
