This was stated by Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, Ukrinform reports.
“I believe in Ukraine as a future NATO member,” Eide said.
He also emphasized that he supports Ukraine's Victory Plan, the first point of which provides for an official invitation to NATO.
“Together with our partners, we will try to understand how and when this plan will be implemented. In our opinion, in the future, after this war is over, it is possible to guarantee the preservation of Ukraine's sovereignty and independence by including Ukraine in European and transatlantic institutions, including NATO,” the minister said.
Eide added that he supports Ukraine's transformation into “a partner and ally that can help defend common interests together.”
- On October 31, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shares the results of the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe summit and says that all partner countries have supported the Victory Plan. One of the points of the Plan is to invite Ukraine to join NATO.
- The head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, assured that support for Ukraine's future full membership in the Alliance was growing among NATO members.
