74 clashes occur at front, Russian army pushes most in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove sectors

Since the start of November 1, there have been 74 combat engagements along the front lines. Russian forces are attacking the most in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors

Ukraine’s General Staff reported.

“Ukrainian defenders are holding their ground and disrupting Russia’s plans,” the statement said. However, Russian troops are active in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Lyman sectors.

Russian air strikes have hit the border areas of the Sumy region, especially in Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, and Zhuravka, where eight guided bombs were dropped.

Additionally, in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, Verkhnia Pozhnia, Tymofiivka, Pavlivka, Rohizne, Novenke, Basivka, and Pokrovka faced shelling from Russian forces.

In the Kursk region of Russia, Russia conducted 22 airstrikes using 27 guided aerial bombs.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces dropped two bombs near Derhachi.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian army tried to advance near Petropavlivka and Lozova twice during the day, and fighting continued near Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces increased attacks to 12, targeting Druzheliubivka, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny, and the Serebrianskyi forest, with four battles currently happening.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled an attack near Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, while Russian troops did not launch any ground attacks, they carried out air strikes on Toretsk, Petrivka, and Kostiantynivka, dropping eight guided bombs.

The Russian army remains active in the Pokrovsk sector, with clashes of varying intensity occurring 21 times today. Attacks were repelled in Sukhа Balka, Myroliubivka, Mykolaivka, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Novohrodivka, and Selydove. Currently, two battles are still ongoing near Vyshneve.

Fighting continues in the Kurakhove sector. Near Ostrivske, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Kreminna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Vovchenka, Maksymilianivka, Dalne, Antonivka, and Katerynivka, there were 24 combat engagements during the day, with 13 ongoing attacks by Russian forces.

In the Vremivkа sector, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions once in the Trudove area.

In the Orikhiv sector, while there were no ground assaults, Russian troops launched an airstrike with 10 unguided missiles on Novoandriivka.

The situation in the Prydniprovskyi sector remained unchanged, with Russian forces conducting three unsuccessful attacks.

There were no significant changes in other sectors.

  • Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,460 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian defense forces destroyed 6 Russian tanks and 26 artillery systems.
