According to Polsat News, Sikorski said that Poland has provided more support to Ukraine than any other country when considering military, financial, economic, humanitarian aid, and assistance to Ukrainian refugees, especially when measured relative to its GDP.
He noted that Ukraine has received nearly 300 tanks and a significant amount of heavy equipment, including aircraft.
“We are trying to help, but we are also a frontline state. Russia poses a threat to us too, so not everything is possible,” he added.
- Zelenskyy had stated earlier that Poland couldn't transfer the MiG-29s due to a lack of its own aviation capacity. Kyiv has since coordinated with NATO for an air mission to protect Polish territory, but Poland cited another reason for not handing over the planes.
