Russia's war in Ukraine kills 585 children, Prosecutor General's Office says
As a result of Russia's armed aggression in Ukraine, 585 children have been killed and over 1,664 have been injured
This was reported by Ukraine's Office of the Prosecutor General.
As of the morning of November 1, according to juvenile prosecutors, 585 children have been killed and more than 1,664 have been injured to varying degrees as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In total, over 2,249 children have been affected.
“The highest numbers of affected children are reported in the following regions: Donetsk (597), Kharkiv (459), Kherson (184), Dnipropetrovsk (184), Kyiv (133), Zaporizhzhia (145), and Mykolaiv (117),” the statement added.
The Prosecutor General's Office also reported that on October 29-30, nine children were injured across various regions due to Russian attacks.
Specifically, boys aged 8 and 14 were injured in the Kherson region, while a 16-year-old girl and a 1.6-year-old boy were hurt in the Donetsk region. A 10-year-old girl was injured in Kharkiv, and on October 30, a 14-year-old boy was injured in Dnipro. On the same day, two boys aged 12 and 15 were killed in the attack on Kharkiv, and an 11-year-old boy sustained injuries as well.
