106 Russian Shahed drones violate Belarusian airspace since July
Since July and as of November 1, more than 100 Russian attack drones have flown into Belarus. The number of cases is growing dynamically
This was reported by the monitoring group Belarusian Hajun.
Thus, in July, 9 Shahed drones flew into Belarus, in August–12, and in September–27. In October, analysts recorded 49 Shaheds in the country's airspace, and on November 1, 9 UAVs flew into Belarus at once.
In addition, during the monitoring period, it was confirmed that six Shahed attack drones were destroyed or crashed in Belarus. Another one went down in Latvia after flying about 500 km across Belarus.
‘The number of drones that have been lost locally has already reached 28, which means that right now there could be dozens of crashed drones lying around somewhere in Belarus. And there is every reason to believe that the entry of the Shahed drone into the airspace of Belarus will not only continue, but their frequency will also increase,’ the monitoring group writes.
Earlier Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko linked the incidents with the Shaheds to the work of the electronic warfare. He said that ‘in inexperienced hands and after being affected by electronic warfare, drones lose their bearings’, which is why they fly into Belarus.
- On the morning of November 1, Belarusian Hajun wrote that on the night of November 1, at least 10 Russian Shaheds flew into Belarus from Ukraine. Air defense was operating in the country.
