USAID Ukraine ordered to suspend funding for all projects — media
After a directive from the U.S. State Department to pause foreign aid programs for 90 days for auditing, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine received orders to suspend all projects and related expenses
This was reported by Suspilne, citing an employee of the USAID office in Kyiv.
According to the employee, staff currently lack detailed instructions on how the directive will be implemented or whether exceptions will be made.
USAID’s press service informed Suspilne that the inquiry had been forwarded to the U.S. State Department.
USAID in Ukraine supports school reconstruction, the provision of medical services, and the repair of critical energy infrastructure.

According to the USAID Ukraine website, since the start of the full-scale war on February 24, 2022, the agency has provided Kyiv with $2.6 billion in humanitarian aid and directed $5 billion in development assistance. An additional $30 billion has been allocated as direct budgetary support.
Overall, the agency invests in and supports 29 different sectors in 158 countries worldwide, including economic growth and trade, humanitarian aid, education, energy, infrastructure, and technology, among others.
