Major carve-up of world has already begun - Polish politician Czech
Polish politician, historian, and journalist, former member of the Polish Sejm Mirosław Czech, in an interview with Espreso, expressed the opinion that the geopolitical changes in the world began with Russia's war against Ukraine
He shared this opinion on Espreso TV.
"Very serious changes have occurred in the Arctic and will continue to happen. Why did Nikolai Patrushev leave his position as Secretary of the Russian Security Council and become just an advisor to Putin on maritime issues? Because it's the definition of a new priority for the Russian state, similar to Stalin's second Five-Year Plan. We tend to forget that during Stalin’s Five-Year Plan, he was supposed to build the largest ocean fleet in the world with battleships and aircraft carriers. However, nothing came of that, and that’s another question. But those were the plans. And Putin has the same idea – to build bases in the Arctic," noted the Polish politician.
According to him, strategic planning in the Kremlin already spoke 10 years ago about the development of the Arctic, and Russia has now made an agreement with China to carry out this plan.
"Trump's response – the USA cannot afford anyone to control the Panama Canal. Russia made a very tough statement about the Panama Canal: 'Don’t try!' Russia is China's junior partner, for good and bad times, so this redistribution has already taken place. It was only Trump who thought he was so big that he could make such a redistribution.
The whole political and geopolitical situation is such that the major carve-up of the world began with Russia's war against Ukraine, the attempt to destroy the Ukrainian state. And the resolution of this issue lies in Ukraine – if Ukraine stands firm and is provided security guarantees that Russia will never again attack Ukraine, then the world order, formulated on certain new foundations, will have a chance to start. Otherwise, we face a period of extraordinary turbulence across different continents," concluded Mirosław Czech.
