Two rescuers wounded in Russian strike on Odesa region, 19 graves destroyed at cemetery
On the evening of October 31, the Russian army launched a missile attack on a fire station in the Ukrainian city of Odesa, injuring two rescuers and damaging a cemetery

Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov reported hearing an explosion at 9:09 p.m. Earlier, the Air Force had warned of a missile threat to Odesa and Chornomorsk. Around midnight, the State Emergency Service confirmed that a missile had struck the fire station.
“Two rescuers were injured while trying to reach shelter during the air raid. They are currently in the hospital,” the statement said. Fire trucks and the fire station were also damaged.
The Novomiske (Tairovske) cemetery was hit in the attack, with damage recorded on plots 146, 147, 157, and 158, where burials occurred mainly between 1977 and 2010. “Preliminary reports indicate that 114 graves have been damaged, and sadly, 19 of them have been completely destroyed,” Trukhanov noted.
- On the evening of October 30, Russian forces attacked a residential building in Kharkiv, resulting in the deaths of two children and a man, and injuring 36 others.
