Estonia’s foreign minister names indispensable components of Russia's defeat in war with Ukraine
Russia must withdraw from the entire territory of Ukraine, pay for Ukraine's economic recovery, and all leaders and military personnel who committed crimes must be brought to justice
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu shared his opinions in the Espreso TV studio.
"Regarding Russia's defeat. First, they will be expelled from all the occupied territories of Ukraine. Second, Russia must pay for the reconstruction and economic recovery of Ukraine. No one can bring back the lives of the innocently killed. Thirdly, the leaders of Russia, as well as the military, those who directly committed these crimes – they all need to be brought to justice," he said.
According to Reinsalu, the shame will follow the Russians for generations to come.
"The same thing happened after the Nazi regime fell. Russians are citizens of the aggressor country and they are also involved in what is happening. They condone the totalitarian regime in Russia. They have not legal but moral responsibility," summarized Estonia's foreign minister.
