Bakhmut suffers catastrophic destruction, but not as much as Mariupol or Rubizhne - commander of the Svoboda battalion
The commander of the Svoboda battalion, Petro Kuzyk, reported that the city of Bakhmut has suffered enormous destruction and is subject to daily artillery shelling
He told about this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"At one time, we defended the city of Rubizhne. This city was simply completely destroyed. Instead of the city of Rubizhne, it is just a mountain of construction debris. The intensity of artillery shelling there was much greater than in Bakhmut. Indeed, the city of Bakhmut suffered great destruction. However, it's just not possible to compare with the scale they destroyed Rubizhne," Kuzyk said
The Svoboda battalion commander added that many locals still remain in Bakhmut.
"There are many locals left in the city of Bakhmut who have nowhere to go. We help them with food and water. There are also people in the city who are waiting for Russia. They don't even hide it. However, there are not many of them. The city of Bakhmut has suffered great destruction. The city is seriously exposed to artillery shelling, but it is not Mariupol or Rubizhne yet," he added.
