Patriot system promised by Germany may arrive in Ukraine along with F-16s - media
The Patriot air defense system, which Germany is going to transfer to Ukraine, will be delivered to the Ukrainian Defense Forces no earlier than late June, presumably together with the F-16
The New York Times writes about this, citing its own sources.
The publication indicates that 70 Ukrainian soldiers will be trained at a base in eastern Germany. There, they will have to learn how to work with the Patriot in 6 weeks, which is an accelerated program: normal training lasts from 6 to 9 months.
After the exercise, the Germans will transport the Patriot launchers, radar and other equipment to a logistics center in Poland in about two days, and from there it will be transferred to Ukraine.
According to the New York Times, this is expected to happen no earlier than the end of June. The delivery of the Patriot may coincide with the delivery of "another major weapon system" that Ukraine has long been demanding - F-16 fighters.
In general, all the military aid announced by the United States, Britain, and Germany will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming months.

The NYT also reports that despite the fact that Ukraine received the first batches of military aid from the United States last week, the bulk of the weapons will not arrive until the summer.
