Defense Express explains why Russian army took 28 T-55 tanks from Mosfilm movie studio
Valerii Riabykh, a military expert at Defense Express, noted that the withdrawal of 28 T-55 tanks from Mosfilm studio indicates a decrease in the number of equipment in the Russian army that can be effectively used at the front
He explained this on the Espreso TV channel.
‘The very fact that Russian terrorists are turning to Mosfilm's stocks indicates that there is less and less equipment that can be quickly put into service. It is worth noting that the equipment at Mosfilm is not incapacitated, because the equipment must be in fully functional for filming,’ explained Riabykh.
According to the military expert, T-55 tanks have already been spotted on the frontline of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which indicates that the Russian troops are trying to increase the mechanized component amid significant losses of equipment.
In addition, the tanks from Mosfilm can be used as donors of spare parts to repair other tanks.
‘As for the T-55 tanks removed from Mosfilm, there is a possibility that after minor maintenance, they could be sent for use for their intended purpose - for which they were developed in the Soviet Union. Thus, the Russian maneuvers to equip their troops are becoming more and more limited,’ Riabykh said.
- Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupation army lost dozens more vehicles and at least 1,690 servicemen at the front.
