Russia's internal existence is obscurantism
All previous attacks, including the recent strike on Kyiv, like all future strikes, are not provoked by Ukraine's words, insults, or actions
I believe the key moment in Putin's “direct line” Q&A was his response to the question of whether he would change his mind if he could go back to February 2022.
His answer - that he should have been better prepared - reveals a complete denial of any intention to negotiate peace, even temporarily.
It also speaks to how he would act if someone like Trump were to pressure Ukraine into concessions or a ceasefire. A year later, this “dumbass” would tell us that he was “deceived,” that someone was preparing to attack Russia, that he was “infringed,” and would strike again.
Understanding this, it becomes clear that all of Russia’s past and future attacks, including the recent one on Kyiv, are not the result of anything Ukraine has said or done. Russia launches missiles because it can. And as long as it can, it will keep doing so.
Because the internal existence of the Russian Federation is characterized by obscurantism, streams of hatred for everything and everyone, rage against migrants, and the humiliating impossibility of existing without them. The Russian people are disappearing, shrinking, and, in many ways, fading into history. This endangered species now clings to the world with desperate claws.
